The Korean giant launched their flagship phone in the month of April to compete against Sony's XPERIA Z and the HTC One. The Galaxy S4 features a stunning 5 inch FullHD display, a super fast processor, a great camera, hand gestures and many more. Samsung is calling the GS4 as a life companion because it helps in many different ways like keeping track of your health with S Health, etc.
Design
The Galaxy S4 has a dimension of 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm which is thinner than most of the smart phones available in the market. The body of the GS4 is made of plastic which does not give a premium feel like other phones in this price range. The Galaxy S4 is designed like it smaller brother, the GS3 with rounded edges. It has a physical home button and two capacitive soft keys as the menu and back keys.
Software and Features
The Galaxy S4 comes with the Android 4.2.2(Jellybean) with Samsung's Touchwiz. Samsung has added many apps like S Voice, S Translate, etc which can be unnecessary for some people. Samsung has added the Watch on app as there is a IR blaster which can be used to control your TV, home theatre, etc. Samsung will update the Android once Google releases the Android 4.3. Samsung has made huge improvements in their camera app with added features like Sound and Shot, Dual Shot and many more. You will the these features more than you think. The Hand Gesture feature in Android really comes in handy when you have something in your hand and want see the time or look at your notification. In order to do that you just have to move your hand over the screen. Samsung has added the Air View feature which was first introduced in Galaxy Note 2.
Specification and Performance
The Galaxy S4 is powered by the monstrous Exynos Octa processor clocked at 1.6GHz or the SnapDragon S4 clocked at 1.9GHz in some regions. While using this device we could find a lag in the UI which we think might be a software issue and samsung might fix it in their updates. Samsung has FullHD display with a pixel density of 441 ppi. It has a Super AMOLED screen which looks very good and the colours look saturated.
The GS4 came up on the top in most of the benchmark tests beating even the HTC One.
Conclusion
If your a person who does not care about the phones cheap feel and like a lot of raw processing power then the GS4 is your perfect choice.
