Now that the PS4 is officially announced people are waiting for the release which is "HOLIDAY 2013" in the US as stated by Sony. Here is the hardware of the PS4:
Sony has made some huge improvements to the DUAL SHOCK 4. The PS4 controller has highly sensitive six-axis sensor and a touch pad at the center which might be used to navigate or play some of the games which are supported. Sony has build the new Playstation 4 EYE which tracks the player. PS4 Eye has a wide-angle lenses.
Sony said that it can differentiate player from the background and some people also told about facial recognition. The light bar in the front of Dual Shock 4 will glow in different colour according the player and the PS4 Eye tracks the the light bar.

Sony as expected has used a AMD processor as the main processor. The AMD processor is a 8 core x86-64 AMD "Jaguar". Sony used a Radeon based graphics engine to power the PS4. The PS4 has 8GB DDR5 memory which is pretty good.
